THE CENTENNIAL MUSEUM OF SHEGUIANDAH | Sheguiandah | Situated on Highway 6 in Sheguiandah, Ontario, on beautiful Manitoulin Island. Nestled behind a rail fence just south of Lewis Creek, our eight-acre site features a main exhibition area and six outbuildings. Our museum preserves an impressive collection of settler artifacts from the mid-1800’s onward that help tell the stories of our ancestors and local heritage.

EDWARDS STUDIOS & ART GALLERY | Kagawong | Edwards Studios & Art Gallery is an independently owned and operated art gallery located in the village of Kagawong along the north shore of Manitoulin Island. The Art Gallery was established in 1996 by Richard and Barbara Edwards. After moving to Kagawong in 1993, Richard and Barbara worked from their home studios until they transformed the upper story of the historical Old Mill into a working studio and art gallery. The Art Gallery showcases many local artists work from Manitoulin Island and surrounding areas. The gallery is open to the public from May Long Weekend to Thanksgiving weekend.
GORE BAY MUSEUM | Gore Bay | The Gore Bay Museum building is part of the Gore Bay court complex and served as the Manitoulin District Jail and jailer's residence until 1945. It is one of the few remaining Ontario jails which has retained many of its original features. It has now been converted into a museum that displays the history of local early settlers.
LILLIAN'S CRAFTS | M'Chigeeng | We carry the largest selection of Quillwork on Manitoulin Island, featuring the work of Local Artists, a variety of Birch Bark Items, Deerskins, Moosehide Products, Sweetgrass Items, Bracelets, Purses, Vests and of course...Moccasins!
MANITOULIN MAKERS | Manitoulin Makers is a gallery and active studio on the rocky shores of Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron. We feature the creativity of local artists and artisans, who are inspired by the heritage and beauty of our waters, land and sky. Come in to see us at work ... upstairs at the Gore Bay Harbour Centre!

NEMI PUBLIC LIBRARY | | Little Current | NEMI Public Library has a comprehensive Local History Collection, focusing on the town of Little Current, formerly Howland, and beyond, to other areas of Manitoulin Island and the North Shore. Rare and hard-to-find books and documents are available for in-library use. A smaller collection of books are available for check out. Our librarians are happy to help you find the resources you need for your research.
OJIBWE CULTURAL FOUNDATION | M'Chigeeng | The Ojibwe Cultural Foundation was created to preserve and revitalize the language, culture, arts, spirituality, and traditions of the Anishinaabe People of the Mnidoo Mnising (Manitoulin Island) and surrounding areas. We dedicate ourselves to nurturing the expression of Anishinaabe culture in all forms, so our art, language, stories, songs, and teachings flourish now and remain strong for future generations.
